The project achieved a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ and is intended to be a model for sustainable communities for the 21st century. It is located on a Brownfield site in the heart of Shoreham-by-Sea.
The development provides a variety of residential properties set within a ‘homezone’ environment with public access to the riverside and slipway plus the creation of a new public space with space for retail and commercial activity. Adding to the ‘EcoHomes’ excellent rating, a shingle planting scheme was introduced along the riverwalk utilising a variety of locally sourced plants to contribute to the ecology of the site.
