At PRC, we are proud to continue supporting the next generation of architects through the Architecture Degree Apprenticeship pathway.
Andrea Gunter is leading the initiative this year at the university of Nottingham, which combines academic study with hands-on experience. This route opens doors for talented individuals from diverse backgrounds to enter the profession without the burden of full-time tuition or pausing their careers. Architecture thrives on diversity, innovation, and collaboration, and apprenticeships bring fresh perspectives to our teams while providing aspiring architects with a more accessible and practical route to qualification.
The Architect Degree Apprenticeship lasts four and a half years, with each year building on the apprentice’s knowledge and skills. The program is delivered through day release, with additional self-study days scheduled each semester. Throughout the program, apprentices will earn the MArch in Architecture with Collaborative Practice Research (ARB/RIBA Part 2) and subsequently the Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture (Part 3). They will then undergo a gateway review and an end-point assessment to complete their Architect Degree Apprenticeship.
To all current and future apprentices: we recognise your passion and potential, and we are committed to helping you turn it into something extraordinary.
